There is something to be said for looking inward. When you delve into your own psyche, deep past your complexes and neuroses, and you see darkness, inchoate and fearful, engage it. Don’t run from it or cover it up; it’s yours, and it will come roaring after you. But if you develop a rapport with it, integrate it into your consciousness, you become the best possible incarnation of yourself. You are not a good person; you are not a bad person. You are a person. Full of paradox and conflict and complexity. But when you gather all of your opposing forces into balance, you are living a rare and worthy life.
You have within you everything required for happiness. You are beautiful and strong and entirely yourself. Finding someone to love, who loves you back, with whom you can share your life – that’s just a bonus. Because you are perfect.
